Signing running back DeeJay Dallas already Tuesday, the Arizona Cardinals will have an offensive piece from last season’s roster who will be returning for 2024s.
Per NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, offensive lineman Keith Ismael inked a one-year extension after his debut campaign in the Valley.
“The [Arizona] Cardinals signed OL Keith Ismael to a one-year contract extension, per his agent Chris Cabott of Equity Sports,” Pelissero said.

Though he played 13 games for the Cardinals last year, Ismael did not record a statistical marker.
Drafted in 2020, the Oakland native was selected in the fifth round (156th overall) by the Washington Football Team – before they eventually changed their name to the Washington Commanders.
In the United States capitol, Ismael played 18 games (five starts) across two seasons (2020-21) where he had a tackle and a fumble.
Missing the 2022 season, he was placed on Injured Reserve when Washington was completing their 53-man roster. Due to an injury settlement, Ismael was released on Sept. 5, 2022.
He would then return to California a week later to sign a practice squad contract with the San Francisco 49ers. Becoming a free agent once again, however, the ‘Niners waived him on Aug. 29 last year.
The very next day, Arizona claimed him off of waivers and Ismael has been a Cardinal since.
